Giving Kids What They Need to Succeed
April 2, 2020
In times of crisis, making a positive impact on life in our communities is more important than ever. With thousands of children losing access to school lunch programs, Ulteig is helping feed healthy bodies and healthy minds by donating to three organizations serving kids in need.
Making a positive impact in your community has never been more necessary.
Throughout the school year, Ulteig provides ongoing support to ensure students have the academic tools they need to succeed. The onset of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shuttered educational systems across our country, forcing students out of schools for weeks or even months. And while kids can turn to online classrooms for learning, hundreds of thousands of students no longer have access to the nutritious meals offered through school lunch programs.
Ulteig recognizes that this is an especially important time to support our students.
Nutrition and Learning
A direct correlation exists between high-quality meals and healthy minds and bodies. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, healthy students do better on tests, are more attentive in class and have higher graduation rates, which makes healthy meal options paramount to their success. And that’s especially true in STEM disciplines.
As a community, we’re better when we work together
To help students in and around our communities gain access to healthy meals while their schools are temporarily closed, Ulteig has made a monetary donation to these three organizations serving nutritious meals to students in need:
We believe students deserve our support today and every day of the year. Working together, we can make sure our students have the meals and encouragement they need to succeed. Please join us in supporting these organizations or another one in your community by donating today.
