Ulteig Board of Directors Receives National Honor

Ulteig’s Board of Directors is one of just seven private company boards to be honored for business governance excellence at the national 2021 Private Company Governance Summit this week.

The awards honor private company boards that best serve their stakeholders — owners, shareholders, employees and community — with best practices in their structure and performance. Ulteig was one of just two honorees in the $100M – $350M revenues category.

Board Chair Kim Mageau accepted the award on behalf of Ulteig. You can see the video replay of the entire ceremony here.

In accepting the award, Kim noted that “good governance at Ulteig means leaning in with oversight and advice in the face of adversity and encouraging management to push forward. This allowed Ulteig not only to survive the pandemic this last year but to thrive while providing unyielding support to our clients, the Lifeline Sectors in which we operate, and the communities which we touch.”

The publishers of Private Company Director magazine, which sponsors the awards and the Summit, said in their news release that “dozens of private boards of directors were nominated for the 2021 Private Boards of the Year award, but seven stood out for their diligence, standards and outcomes.”

The awards were created to recognize private companies that go above and beyond legal governance requirements and commit to the highest levels of governance, whether through fiduciary or advisory boards.
