Ulteig’s Horizon 2021

April 22, 2022
Agility, without a doubt, is a fundamental characteristic of any organization that has managed to adapt and thrive in the volatile environment we have all experienced over the last two years. A healthy combination of disciplined planning and the ability to react quickly to the unforeseen has allowed the employee-owners of Ulteig to resourcefully address the changing needs of our clients.
And, despite uncertainty in the markets, including supply chain challenges and the effects of an ongoing pandemic, we exceeded many of the growth goals we established through our strategic plan, well ahead of schedule. In 2021, we grew our workforce by ~25%, we acquired NLS Engineering and leveraged its talented team to enhance our capabilities in system integration and SCADA, and we achieved another record year in orders. Most importantly, we were able to expand our reach to provide more services to more clients.
In this era of change, and with our desire to continue our growth trajectory, we are compelled to reassess and clearly define why we exist and how we deliver. Throughout 2021 we engaged the organization in defining our purpose and reframing our vision and values to clearly reflect who we are today and who we aspire to be tomorrow. These foundational components will serve to guide us in meeting client needs while staying true to our fundamental beliefs.
In the pages that follow, I invite you to learn about Ulteig’s commitment to serving our Lifeline Sectors® of Power, Renewables, Transportation and Water through innovation, creative thinking and enduring partnerships. Every project not only offers us an opportunity to address a client’s acute challenges, but takes us one step closer to realizing our vision to become the most trusted partners transforming our world’s critical infrastructure. We will achieve this by capitalizing on our unique talents and skills to effectively serve our clients and our community as the landscape around us continues to evolve.
I am proud of our agile team and what we have accomplished to help our clients build and maintain vital infrastructure throughout North America. It is a privilege to serve in this capacity and I am confident that we have positioned ourselves well for creating and solving for a sustainable future.
