Manisha Ghorai’s 12 years of work as a transmission planning engineer bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table for Ulteig’s clients.
Based in Denver, Ghorai came to Ulteig in December 2017 from Boston. She has broad experience in transmission planning and power system studies, as well as experience with team management, proposal development and budgeting.
Ghorai possesses a wide range of experience conducting power system studies for a variety of clients both domestically and internationally. She is also well versed in developing and designing reactive power systems for wind farms, interconnecting new renewable plants to existing grids, handling budgets and managing all facets of integrated network planning.
Because of her expertise, she has been invited to speak at industry conferences and serve on speaker panels - something she enjoys due to the exchange of ideas with other engineers in her area of specialty.
“In my line of work it is important to stay connected to what is happening not only in this country, but around the world, since there are different challenges in different regions,” she said, recalling her work on a wind project in South Africa. “I have been lucky enough to have exposure to many different pro-jects and utility companies over the years.”
Ulteig has proven to be the perfect company for her to both share her knowledge and continue learning from others in the industry - a true “win-win” situation.
“At Ulteig, I really enjoy working with a team and colleagues who share the same pride in their work and a passion for the industry,” Ghorai said. “I am so glad I made the move.”
