Power Lifeline Sector® Scholarship Lydia Paw – University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Freshman
Major: Electrical Engineering | Minor: Astrophysics
Lydia is already thinking about the future of our power grid. She blends technical insight with big picture vision, connecting technical advancements — such as energy storage, digitalization and demand-side flexibility — to long-term system reliability.
Renewables Lifeline Sector® Scholarship Anwi Fomukong – University of New Mexico Junior
Major: Environmental Science
Anwi’s hands-on experience at Sandia National Laboratories spanning battery materials, corrosion science, solar thermal technologies and wave energy systems demonstrates her commitment to clean energy innovation. Her forward looking ideas — including AI adaptable inverters — highlight her vision for the future.
Transportation Lifeline Sector® Scholarship Ammon Montes – Brigham Young University Senior
Major: Civil Engineering | Specialization: Transportation/Environmental
Ammon combines engineering expertise with community-focused solutions. His approach emphasizes smarter city design, high-density transit and walkable communities. His internship work improving infrastructure for tribal communities reflects both technical skill and public service.
Water Lifeline Sector® Scholarship Kash Vandelac – Washington State University Sophomore
Major: Civil Engineering | Specialization: Transportation/Environmental
Kash identified clear, practical recommendations for aging water systems, paring technical skill with a deep commitment to public health. His vision to pair AI-powered monitoring with targeted infrastructure upgrades — especially for lead lines and PFAS-related risks — shows his drive to make infrastructure safer for everyone.
Please note, all applications were reviewed through a structured, blind evaluation process to ensure every recipient was selected solely for merit and alignment with our Lifeline Sectors®.
