Ulteig has been named Employer of the Year by the International Right of Way Association (IRWA), a global, member-led organization dedicated to improving quality of life through infrastructure development. The award, which was announced at IRWA’s 72nd Annual International Education Conference in Omaha last month, recognizes employers that actively support employee involvement in IRWA.
For Ulteig, that support includes investing in IRWA memberships and continuing education for its 17 members, spread out across Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Texas and Colorado. These professionals help advance infrastructure projects across power, renewable energy, transportation and public agency sectors, applying specialized knowledge in land acquisition, negotiation, environmental compliance, real estate law, asset management, surveying and engineering.
IRWA helps them build the knowledge, relationships and credentials to grow their careers, support high-quality project delivery and positively impact the communities we serve.
Right of Way Expertise in Action
Notably, Ulteig Right of Way Specialist Brenda Koppes was also recognized at the annual conference for earning her Senior Right of Way Professional (SR/WA) designation—one of the industry’s most respected credentials, signaling advanced knowledge across the profession’s core disciplines.
Investing in People, Strengthening Client Service
Together, Ulteig’s Employer of the Year Award and Brenda’s SR/WA recognition underscore a culture that invests in people as much as projects. By empowering employees to learn, lead and engage with the broader industry, Ulteig continues to expand the expertise that supports successful infrastructure development and lasting community impact.
