Innovative Approaches To Transportation Engineering
Eric Milliken, PE, PTOE will be presenting his award-winning study on using drones to determine local sight triangle parameters, a paper written for the Institute of Transportation Engineers. A traffic engineering expert who has worked in the industry for over a decade, Eric will share his findings on Feb. 2 in a presentation at this year’s Wyoming Engineering and Surveying Society Convention.
The presentation will review the study of local gap acceptance gear using drone videography. The project took nationally studied standards and applied them to the real world, comparing measurements of what site distance should be compared to national suggestions.
Eric Milliken is a Lead Traffic Engineer; he specializes in traffic studies, alternatives analysis and corridor studies. Eric has developed his skills in drone technology to bring his understanding of traffic engineering and studies to the next level, so he can better serve our clients.
