Ulteig Announces Partnership with Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA)

Ulteig is excited to announce a new partnership with Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in underserved communities through engineering projects. The partnership underscores Ulteig’s strong commitment to making a positive impact on communities by leveraging our expertise and resources to tackle critical infrastructure challenges.

This partnership is the latest Community Partner Program (CPP) venture supported by Ulteig’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Bold Step. The CPP offers a platform for Ulteig employees to engage in work with nonprofit organizations that uplift communities in need through donations, volunteerism, and raising awareness.

To kick off this partnership, Ulteig will work in collaboration with the Community Engineering Corps (CECorps), American Water Works Association (AWWA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) on a project with the Pine and Prairies Land Trust to open space along the Colorado River in Texas.

The primary objective is to enhance accessibility for all visitors while preserving the natural beauty of the Colorado River Basin, by developing an engineered plan to improve drainage and mitigate erosion damage at the hiking trailhead. Alleviating these pressing environmental concerns is a critical sustainability project that will expand access and enhance the experience of those who visit the area.

Joining forces with EWB-USA aligns with our core values at Ulteig, allowing our team members the chance to apply their technical expertise to create tangible improvements in the lives and communities of those in need. Together, we strive to promote access to clean water, reliable energy, and resilient infrastructure, making a meaningful difference in underserved regions across North America and the world.
