Ulteig provided construction management oversight, complete construction site quality control and select engineering services for the construction of five solar fields on four sites throughout southern Idaho, designed to collectively generate 100 megawatts of power. At one site alone, more than one million cubic yards of earth had to be moved in preparation.
The project was scheduled over the fall and winter seasons in this ordinarily mild part of the U.S., but one of the most extreme winters in 30 years made the project especially challenging. The team persevered, working relentlessly through frequent downpours and heavy snow to get all five fields fully functional without project delay.
